The countenance of night

Her skin as white as light of moon
- I saw once behind a cloud.
And eyes like her I've never seen
they seem soft though she is so proud.

Like stars in the waters mirror,
bright spots are dancing in her eyes.
And on her shoulders dark hair flows
down in soft and silky waves.

This stunning veil in velvet black is occupied
with diamond of the most twinkling stars.
It's amazing tenderness exceeds
any of my humble memoirs.
